This guy simply sends shivers down the spine. Melbourne based Ash Grunwald has a voice that cuts through the hardest heart, especially evident in the rendition of Robert Johnson's "Cross Roads". At the recent Australian Blues Music Festival, it was this young man who had the youth captivated and the elders mesmerized.
This album certainly does justice to the awesome talent that Ash displays in his live shows. With minimal sound invasion it proves that you don't have to be full on hard and fast to make an impact.
