Kingtide   To Our Dearly Deported

We play original Reggae influenced by, Rock Steady, Ska and the early dance hall styles that came out of Jamaica in the late sixties and early seventies. Reggae is our compass taking us into new and wonderful unchartered territories.

Our contemporaries are all dead. Killed in gun battles over crack cocaine deals in Jamaica in the late Seventies and early eighties. We created an album "To Our Dearly Deported" That we recorded with the very talented Dodgy Bob Scot in Dodgy Studios Glebe. It was released on Vitamin records and I if Im not wrong I think [ACCORDING TO A.R.I.A] it went clay sometime last week. Oct 06.

Anyhow King Tide are... Paul Snatch sings up front with me, Lindsay Page plays keys and Bone, Robbie Woolf Keys and Vox; Terepai Richmond struggles to keep any sort of semblance of time on the drums. And Peter Firth god bless him tries valiantly to play bass along side of him. Tony Gilbert makes scratching noises on the guitar known as skanking. At least thats his excuse.
