On December 26th 2004 the devastating tsunami hit this peaceful beach and village. Along with so many other places, in eleven countries the tragedy struck hard and struck home.

On Talalla Beach people lost their lives. About twenty houses were destroyed along with fishing boats and livelihoods. Infrastructure, already poor was severely damaged. Water supplies and electricity disrupted or collapsed altogether.

This album was created to support the people who survived the Tsunami and help to rebuild their lives, Sound Foundation is working with the AFAP and independent artists to create this album which we know you will enjoy.
